The Element Chain approach is all about product management. Product management is different from program management and project management. Product management is focused on creating and building a viable business solution. This means that whatever gets built is built in a way that accomplishes the goals of the business owner.
We have consistently found that product management is the missing piece in many small and medium-sized firms’ solutions. Many firms build websites or web tools that are not actionable or that are not designed to align the customers’ experiences with the goals of the organization. This is because product management seems like a luxury compared with the raw design and development skill sets. A designer creates pretty pictures, and a developer generates code, but it is hard to see tangible results from a product manager. Therefore it is often underestimated in its value. We see it differently. We see product management as the key to creating value from the disparate design and development elements. Product management brings it all together. It is Element Chain’s mission to bring more product management expertise to the world.
